Stances (sogi):

  • attention stance – charyot sogi
  • walking stance – gunnan sogi
  • walking ready stance – gunnan chunbi sogi
  • sitting stance – annun sogi
  • parallel stance – narani sogi
  • parallel ready stance – narani chunbi sogi

Heights/levels of techniques:

  • high – nopundae (technique is performed at eye level)
  • middle – kaundae (technique is performed at shoulder level)
  • low – najundae (technique is performed at lower abdomen level, or, at about belt level)

Parts of the body:

  • knifehand – sonkal
  • forefist – ap joomuk

Hand techniques:

  • middle obverse punch – kaundae baro jirugi
  • middle reverse punch – kaundae bandae jirugi
  • outer forearm low block – bakat palmok najundae makgi
  • inner forearm middle block – an palmok kaundae makgi
  • knifehand low block – sonkal najundae makgi

Foot techniques:

  • front rising kick – ap cha oligi
